Usher Mini 1 and 2 Dancer speakers

well after comments from CES we will be launching the new Mini Dancer series shortly here in the United kingdom, developed to replace the award winning 6 series speakers, they will be priced at a very competitive £2250 for the 2 drive unit Mini1, and £3000 for the 3 drive unit D'Appolito configuration Mini 2. Using the widely acclaimed Usher Beryllium Tweeter, and the same woofer as found in the award winning be718, these floor standing beauties will feature all the traits of the big Dancers, but a smaller footprint and price tag.

January 2009

Well a Very Happy New Year to you all from HIAudio.

December 2008

Well we've been busy and so has the market, with the credit crunch biting what a change a few months has made to the world we all live in.

Well our manufacturers have not been idle, new prices, new products and new avenues.

Graham Slee has the new Novo now shipping, this super affordable headphone amp is already selling well beyond our expectations.

NuForce have also been busy with a new Stereo power amplifier. there first. the Ref8.5 V2 Stereo, an updated matching pre amplifier, the P8S and as a new avenue we have there range of headphones for iPhone/PDA etc available very soon. The NE-7M and the NE-8 are serious quality in ear devices utilising the 3.5mm stereo connection found on most portable devices. We tried a pair using an I-Phone into a Voyager headphone amp and its sounded indecently good to be totally honest.

September 2008

Well its a busy month for us Show time at Heathrow park Inn and new products, and of course the Hi Fi + Speaker of the year award after a superb review last issue.

August 1st 2008

Well its been a while since we updated this page, but be assured from now on with a new web designer this site will be changing rapidly over the coming weeks and months, and you will be seeing a lot more news on these pages.

July 2008

30th September 2007 Brief show report.

Wow well thank you to all of you who came to our two rooms at the London Sound and Vision show last weekend.

In case you need reminding what was going on in each room, check out these system pages for a complete breakdown of what was being used.

1934 - 2 Channel

The new

1936 - 7 channel AV

We agree with you, that the AV setup using the superb Usher 6311 was the best AV sound of the show. and believe it or not the 6311 speakers used were the very pair rubbished in Hi Fi Choice over two years ago. A few more dents yes, with all the traveling around the country they have done. But other than that totally unaltered!.

We loved the sound from them and you can hear why they have won awards around the world. As the starter in the 6 series we can see why these are such a big seller.

The NuForce amplification was superb in every way. The AVP16 although now discontinued is an audiophiles dream. simple to operate and without all those sill bells and whistles found on so many other processors that just destroy the sound.

The new Multi channel MCH series power amplifier was faultless and brought that SE V2 sound to the complete system for a fraction of the price of the mono blacks loved by stereo purists.

29th August 2007

Well its been too long, thankfully with a new member of staff joining we will be carrying more and more news on the web site and get it looking more up to date, although we will retain all its functionality that we receive so much praise for.

London Hi Fi Show

With the holiday season drawing to a close, we thought you might like to know what you can see what we will be bringing to the up and coming London Hi Fi Show at the Park Inn Hotel Heathrow 21-23rd September 2007.

Room 1936 - 7 Channel AV

Well with the arrival of the new NuForce Multi Channel power amps, the MCH 3SE will have its first showing anywhere in the world. It will be used with the superb NuForce AVP16 processor, with AV signal supplied for the MetaVision Behemoth series HTPC. Front speakers will be the usher 6311 X616 centre, with various colours of Usher S520 speakers used for surround sound duties. Black Rhodium Tango cables will be used to all speakers.

1st May 2007

Well NuForce have been busy. We now have in stock the first of their new pre amplifiers the P9 as well as the all new amplifiers fitted with the superb V2 patented amplifier boards. After a long wait, March 2005 to be exact, since the V1 boards we launched we have not been let down.

So book your listening test now and be prepared for a real shock. NuForce amps have just raised the bar again, and lowered the price of audio excellence still further.

26 April 2007

NuForce P9 review - Well we love it and we are pleased to say David Price rates sit as well. So he should given the ridiculous level of performance it brings for it launch price of £2200 inc VAT.

19/03/2007

George F. C. Hadcock, 6.10.1930 – 17.3.2007

It is with great sadness that we have to report the death of George F.C. Hadcock. George was a very talented designer and manufacturer, who first shone in the Aeronautical industry before moving on to develop and build his own tonearms; which he did right up to his death. In all, over 170,000 Hadcock tonearm's were produced and sold round the world.

HIAudio is proud to have had the opportunity to be associated with George in his last few years. We are continuing our support with Charles Hadcock who is now at the helm of his Father's tonearm business; Such that The Hadcock Arm will live on as one of the great names of the HI FI industry.

George's Funeral will be on Wednesday 28th March at 11.00 am, at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Balance Street, Uttoxeter, Staffs. All will be welcome afterwards, in the parish hall, for refreshments.

The family have asked for donations towards the Hospice at Home Charity instead of flowers. Donations are to be sent to "Home Charity Hospice" c/o G. Wathall and sons, tel 01335 300205.

RoHS and HIAudio - 2 August 2006

Well people will in the industry know we have been harping on about the effects of RoHS for some years now, Andrew Harrison of Hi Fi news hadn't heard of it when I mentioned it to him back in 2004, neither had Usher Audio that same year. Well we know about all the hard effort the designers have put into the new products offered by all our manufacturers, and we are thankful to be able to say our products are now RoHS compliant. We expect to have all the paper work in place when the next Usher Audio shipment arrives, so we can demonstrate to any the pedigree and compliance the products we now offer on to the UK market place.

Usher Compass Dancer 8571-II Review - Hi Fi World 28 July 2006

Well its been a long time coming, not a stand alone review but a group test. Well received, although they didn't bother to shot load the speaker, which tightens up the bass no end, the first Uk review of the Dancer was well received by Noel Keywood although we have been receiving plenty of emails criticizing his comments about them needing plenty of grunt, we agree, but you can lead a dog to water but...... 4 globes is a good start for a new brand to these shores, and we thank Hi Fi World for taking the time to undertake proper measurements on these beautifully crafted designs, by Dr Joe D'Appolito and Mr Tsai.

Usher Audio S520 Review - HiFiNews 20 July 2006

Andrew Harrison of Hi Fi News waxed lyrical about our budget Usher S520 Bookshelf. What more can we say, this diminutive bookshelf is an absolute stunner, and works up to the wall being front ported, as well as in systems costing ridiculous amounts as much as in budget set up. We know we have tried it in both.

The Cartridge Man Conductor Review - TNT 16 july 2006

Well Geoff Husband acknowledges its his first shot at a parallel tracker, but in summing up admits he wants one. The Conductor has been in his system on the Acoustic Solid Machine for some time know and he has heard just how good an arm it is. Thank you Geoff, now go and enjoy the fine weather with your cycling.

NuForce Ref 9 Review - TNT 15 July 2006

Lucio over at TNT has it seemed been listening to NuForce and following the pace of their development for over a year. In TNT's first NuForce Review he assesses the superb Reference 9 Mono block and waxes lyrical about its transparence and speed. Well done TNT another convert to NuForce.

6Moons Review of the Cartridge Man Conductor pick up arm 18 April 2006

We have been busy and so have the reviewers, the first review is now up for the all new Cartridge Man Conductor air bearing parallel tracking pick up arm. Now shipping, 6Moons reviewer Edward Barker loved the arm. Well when you have heard the arm so will you, and you won't believe the price. at £1500 inc VAT its not cheep, but then when you hear it you'll realise it is actually an absolute bargain. so if you are in the hunt for a tonearm and have a thousand pounds or more to spend, then go an audition this, you could have ended up spending a whole lot more and got no better.

It is priced at a ridiculously low £1500 inc and includes all the equipment tanks, pumps etc you need to get up and running with a parallel tracking arm. We first heard a Parallel tracking arm with Len a year ago or so, and we were instantly hooked. We know once you have heard one of these you will be two.

New Product Launch CES, 5th January 2006.

NuForce unveiled at this years CES in Las Vegas, the new IA7 Integrated amplifier, and P8 pre amplifier, they have been developing over the past months. Using Usher 8571 loudspeakers they impressed almost all those who heard their system. We agree, their range of Mono block amplifiers have wowed us with their dynamism and drive. So we welcome the new NuForce products that on listening live up to the reputation of their Mono Block brethren.
