Reference 9 V2 Special Edition
Ref9SE mono block amplifierThe Reference 9SE V2 Mono Block features the very best in components with no expense spared, offering the very best in audiophile performance. It isn't cheap sure, but believe me it has been worth the wait and more importantly is well worth the money. Now available in Black, Silver as well as Rose Copper.

We at HIAudio offered a world first for a review for the original SE Mono Block to Hi Fi World editor David Price, He loved them, a genuine 5 globe product.

The Reference 9 SE V2 incorporates an improved power supply board with a low-ESR capacitor bank. Further enhancements include a separate switching power supply for the analogue front-end, and improvements to the signal input section, including higher quality input capacitors, and the installation of premium 6-nines, oxygen-free copper input wiring. The SE version also comes fitted with the WBT NextGen RCA input connector and the Eichmann speaker "cable pods" as standard, and is switchable between balanced and single ended mode at input.

"Over the last two decades, professionally and as a 'true blue' audiophile, I've owned/auditioned/assessed/compared scores of excellent amplifiers using all manner of technology and circuitry. I consider the NuForce Reference 9 Special Edition amplifiers to be amongst a select small group of the very best amplifiers I've heard. In fact, the SEs better most of these elitists in the areas of resolution, dynamics, bass power and frequency-wide detail." Edgar Kramer 6Moons

"A truly special power amplifier from a company I had never heard of, the NuForce Reference 9SE is an important arrival on the affordable "high end" scene - and you'd be mad not to make its acquaintance. It is one of the few power amplifiers I've heard that doesn't make you aware of its weaknesses, however many obvious strengths it may have." David Price - Hi-Fi World

The upgrades add refinement and delicacy to the already excellent-sounding Ref 9. The tonal balance remains unaltered leaving a very neutral clean and powerful amplifier to fit at the back end of your system.

Upgrades: NuForce offer an upgrade path for all Ref 8.5/9 owners to full SE specification, pricing and availability will be posted soon.
