P9 Pre Amplifier

The P-9 preamp is housed in two separate chassis. The first contains three separate power supplies and microprocessor control logic, the second chassis houses the analogue volume control input selection relays and sensitive analogue circuit components. Designed to be partnered (not exclusively) with the NuForce Reference series of power amplifiers, the P-9 chassis matches their form factor and is available in the same colours.

The heart of the P9 is an all-discrete precision operational amplifier module. Ultra low-noise monolithic dual JFETs, specially selected VMOS FETs and extremely flat hFE bipolar transistors are arranged in a dual cascade configuration, its shield driven to reduce capacitive loading on the final voltage amp. This allows the P9 to achieve 5MHz power bandwidth with a S/N ratio exceeding 100dB with more than 120 dB of dynamic range. The P-9's inherently stable gain circuitry features no capacitors or DC servos in the signal path

With 5 input channels, and a pass through function if it is to be used as part of a home theatre surround sound setup, the P9 has exceeded our expectations at HIAudio, in terms of both functionality and audio performance. Roll on NuForce.

As part of our policy of value for money, for all customers both old and new who have/will purchase a NuForce P8 pre amplifier, there exists through our growing dealer network a 100% byback policy, should you wish to upgrade your P8 to the new P9. Talk to your dealer and they will explain more, but this offers a fantastic upgrade path for all NuForce owners.
