Screen Material Options

The Choice of how to furnish your home cinema with can be daunting, and probably one of you last decisions will be the screen, but in the end it can be the most important. Only if you get it right will the system impress you, and if you get it wrong, however good the sound or the projector or comfortable the seats, it just won't look good.

hope it has helped.

VisionWhite.

Technical details: PVC (M1- fire resistant) leaf of 0,40 mm thickness, gain 1.2 (white back side), also available with 5cm black borders.

Main Advantages: screen can be implemented in several different environmental scenarios, thanks to the good performance this surface can offer

Marketing: standard surface appreciated in different part of the market, such as Educational, Private and Public facilities installations (meeting/board rooms, clubs, pubs) but good also for home cinema/theatre (multi sources: tv, DVD, HTPC).

Our remarks: screens equipped with this surface cannot be placed above windows and other sources of ambient or artificial light.

VisionWhitePro.

Technical details: PVC (M2- fire resistant) leaf of 0,40 mm thickness, gain 1.4 (black back side - equal to traditional "Matt White"), also available with black borders.

Main Advantages: screen can be mounted just above a window. Sunlight coming from outside doesn't bother projection

Marketing: little higher gain lets this surface be the right choice in many different environmental contexts: meeting rooms, board rooms, club and pubs, home cinema and theatre (multi sources: TV, DVD, HTPC)

Our remarks: not suited for Educational market where standard VisionWhite is more appreciated

VisionGrey

Technical details: Pvc (M1- fire resistant) leaf of 0,40 mm thickness, gain 1.0 (gray back side), also available with black borders.

Main Advantages: also known as "High Contrast surface" this curtain exalts contrast in projected images (thanks to a deeper scale of black and dark gray colours)

Marketing: surface suited for Home Theatre and Home Cinema applications only.

Our Remarks: not suited for PC-Data projection. It needs a dark room to get the best performance

VisionAcoustik.

Technical details: Pvc (M1- fire resistant) leaf of 0,30 mm thickness, gain 1.0 (white back side), also available with black borders.

Main Advantages: also known as "Acoustically transparent surface" this curtain allows to place loudspeakers behind the curtain in permanent Home Cinema/Theatre installations.

Marketing: fine surface, provided with micro perforation treatment (micro holes have a diameter of 0,5 mm) suited for Home Cinema/Theatre only.

Our remarks: beware of "Moirč Effect" which affect all micro perforated surfaces (even Stewart Film screens suffer this effect); not suited for PC-Data projection.
